We have a brand new self-titled 10 track record. The CDs have been burnt, the vinyl is being pressed and it’s available on Bandcamp shop.
It was recorded by Craig Pilkington at Audrey Studios in Melbourne. We had a little help from our friends; Nathan Farrelly on Bass, Emmy Ray Shaw on Drums, Pilko on his trumpet and all the way from New Zealand Julia Deans with some sparkling BVs.
Every song is a little story. Here’s track 1 Miriam, and Jon’s explanation of its origin.
“Writing songs with someone else, the fusion of ideas is a fraught process. No two people will ever agree on everything. Celia and I have some tense interactions when we write songs. Marita writes songs with her husband Stu. I asked her what she does when they fight, she said, “I go around to Miriam’s house”. Everyone needs a Miriam”.
Every track comes with a small covering note written by Jon.
